ALEXOR is the great protector, the center component, of DSC's new 2-Way Wireless Security Suite*. ALEXOR is a wireless control panel, the "virtual" brain that communicates wirelessly to DSC wireless peripherals - both 2-Way and all other DSC 433MHz wireless devices. Because it is a distributed system, the panel is not attached to the keypad physically, but rather wirelessly.  When the wire-free keypad is not in use, it moves into a battery preservation mode while remaining entirely on line.  The keypad is also equipped with  a light sensor which determines the ambient light in the area and automatically adjusts the display and key backlighting.  These features extend the battery life.  When the batteries are low, an indication light alerts the home owner to change them.  The home owner can easily remove  the product from the wall or mount and make the replacement in seconds.    Pre-Lock Security can also install AC power in high traffic areas to allow for ac power and only use the battery aspect during an AC failure extending the battery backup for years.  The wireless WT5500 can also be connected to the new WT4911 outdoor siren equipped  with wireless temperature sensor to provide the home owner with a keypad that displays the outdoor temperature at a glance.
