Usually for Christmas we all have some items on our Christmas wish list that we really want to be able to enjoy. It may be items of necessity or those for entertainment. For the Toronto burglar though, chances are his gift receiving ideas are far different than what would be on our lists.
For these unscrupulous individuals any tools of the trade would be considered an ideal gift. Although the expert break in artist doesn’t require a lot of tools there are some that do come in real handy for them.
They would certainly enjoy a brand new crow bar or slim jim. These are two tools that allow them to pry open doors or windows. In the past if they have not had these to rely on then they have to depend on the fact that some homeowner or business person who is their next target has left something lying around that they can work with. Any hard object such as a brick, garden rake, or shovel will do the job of smashing a window for them. This is a bit noisy though so by being able to pry their way in makes for a safer situation for them.
Other small tools that would be acceptable to them would be a small hammer or center hole punch. For the thief these act as a nifty tool for breaking windows with a minimum amount of noise.
A real gift of value to these individuals is a lock picking kit and maybe an instruction book on how to use it effectively. This way they can gain entry into a home or business with as little effort and noise as possible.
Now we all agree that these nasty individuals only deserve a big chunk of coal as their Christmas present, but even with that it could make a viable break in tool. To give these thieves what they really deserve would be to present them with security measures that they are going to have a very tough time over coming, and most likely ones that will lead to them getting caught. Then they can enjoy their Christmas dinner behind bars.
