Designed with integration in totally in mind, the Kantech Telephone Entry System (KTES) is ideally suited for applications with an existing access control system or those that simply need telephone access only. An attractive vandal- and weather-resistant metal enclosure features a large four-line, 20-character backlit LCD and contextual function buttons allowing visitors to easily scroll through an electronic directory of tenants. Tenants communicate with visitors using the KTES and can grant or deny admittance directly from a telephone land line or cellular phone with the touch of a button.
The stand-alone unit controls one door, three auxiliary relays, and supports postal lock and REX access. For larger commercial installations, the KTES integrates with EntraPass software and Kantech door controllers to provide a complete access control system. The system comes complete with a simplified version of EntraPass software for fast configuration and firmware upgrades, live transaction monitoring, and system backup. And, Wiegand inputs and outputs allow the system to be connected to external door controllers.
For added convenience, the KTES maintains a local event log which can be viewed directly on the LCD. If a more detailed event log is needed, the system also reports all events directly to the EntraPass system.
