The DSC PK5590CL color touchscreen security interface features a modern design that complements any homes decor.   The DSC PK5590Cl colour touch security interface combines standard keypad functionality with an intuitive touchscreen environment to provide an increased level of user convenience and control of the security system.   Performing everyday functions such as turning the alarm on and turning the alarm off including zone bypass and system programming is easily done from the touchscreen interface.

The faceplate and the design of the customizable GUI is all in your control.  Your family can select any faceplate design and modify the appearance of the display and add graphics to suit preferences and the home decor.

Security Interface Functions

The Arm/Disarm function allows all users to secure or disable their security system from the vivid touchscreen display.   When performing either of these functions, the virtual keypad is displayed to assist users. If an incorrect access code is entered, the security interface will prompt users with an invalid access code message and display the virtual keypad once again for another opportunity to enter the correct code.

The shunt function allows users to avoid securing zones they don't want protected and allow the user to bypass those zones.  This is very helpful for people who would like to secure their home, but wish to leave a normally protected window open for fresh air.

The Stay function allows the family to perform tasks while the security system is armed in the Home mode. The user simply press the Home button, which then leads them to the main menu for prompt they can follow on the screen.

You can also view the Event Log function right from the colour touchscreen to review the complete alarm history on the system.   A convenient scroll bar enables the home owner to review buffered events stored in the system memory.  Once the system arming code has been entered, the Exit/Entry Delay Countdown function lets users reference the security interface to see time expire on the display during exiting or entering.

The system is armed once the timer has expired unless the Cancel Arming button is selected.

The Configuration function allows users to adjust and set their options, such as access codes, door chime, auto arm, cleaning mode, time/date and contrast/brightness.
