The Insurance Bureau of Canada recomends glass security films for loss prevention.

Security film is a type of specialised glazing made by Armor Coat products that can be applied to windows and glass surfaces to make them much stronger and less dangerous in the event of an accident or problem that breaks the window’s glass. Armor Coat security film can be applied before or after windows are fitted and can protect against all kinds of glass damage issues.

Armor Coat Security film basically makes a glass window stronger and less liable to cause damage than a standard pane of glass without Armor Coat Security film if it breaks or is damaged in any way. So, for example, a window that has a covering of security film will be less likely to break or to shatter in the event of a minor issue (i.e. if someone tries to break the window) or a major one (i.e. in the event of a bomb going off, a bullet being fired and so on).

There are many advantages to using Armor Coat security film on windows.
