Description and Purpose
The Heat Detector is a ceiling-mounted initiating device that is used in a residential or commerical security system, usually in garages, heater closets, kitchen facilities, and other places where smoke detectors are inappropriate. When a Heat Detector activates, it sends a data message to the security system control panel which is then transmitted to our 24 hour central station. When the heat detector resets, it sends a data message to the panel, indicating that it is in a normal condition. Users see status and alarms from the sensor at the local keypad. The control panel can also send a message to the monitoring station or even email your our new e-alert of the exact device that has tripped the alarm.
Heat detectors can also be used for non-life safety requirements, which integrates our intrustion in vault and safe protection to insure higher levels of burglary protection.
Reasons to Choose this Sensor over a smoke detector
The Heat Detector provides some important advantages.
It minimizes the need for additional power supplies because of its low current draw.
Ideal for environments that are dusty, such as storage areas, warehouses, shops, above ceiling tile, and in basements and cellars.
